Mary Joyce is a digital activism trainer and researcher who has been called "among the most knowledgeable and experienced digital activists in the world". She is the founder of the Meta-Activism Project(MAP), which aims to build human and informational infrastructure for the study of digital activism. The organization's first project is the Global Digital Activism Data Set (GDADS), a set of 1,005 digital cases from around the world created under a Creative Commons license to serve as a resource for scholars and activists. Mary is also the editor of the anthology Digital Activism Decoded, which was named one of Beth Kanter's top 10 nonprofit books of 2010.
